You’ve probably read about this already on various blogs on the internets, but like this post we’ve always been behind Alkr.

Now we know they’re renowned for their brightly coloured laptop sleeves and iPhone covers, but this sees them make a foray into the world of bags. Rather than go down the tiresome Heritage route they’ve gone for a practical and functional approach, though on closer inspection, are well thought out and reveal the usual flair you would expect from this fresh, up and coming brand.

Bags : Duluth Scout Back Pack

The ability to carry one’s necessaries seems ever more of a minefield, looking for the practical and desirable whilst not breaking the bank, or straying too far into the realm of the metrosexual.

Recently, Barbour have come up trumps with a number of bags and briefcases, notably the Tarras, while Filson repeatedly produce some classic shapes. There’s still nothing wrong with the classic Jansport and Eastpak for U.S. campus chic, Fjallraven retro or, at a stretch, Invicta for that Italian exchange student turnout. We’ve even been tempted by a Tote or two in recent months.

However, we think we’ve found a serious contender in an American classic brand, Duluth, and more specifically their Scout Back Pack. Hand made and durable, with a lifetime guarantee, it looks great and does exactly what it says on the tin. Duluth have recently produced a collab for Heritage Research which can be found online or in many of the usual suspects.
