Video : Firecracker Records

I’ve been a fan of Firecracker Records since I was handed a CD of various tracks by founder Lindsay Todd, of course this was long before they’d established themselves as a respected record label. Since 2004 they put out an impressive six releases each with their own unique comic strip screen printed covers, which has also added to their desirability.

Here’s a great video produced by Jony Lyle and starring Lindsay and Jamie, documenting the process of hand screen-printing 1000 vinyl record sleeves in an old office block in Edinburgh. This shows it’s not only great music that you’re getting for your money but also some blood, sweat and tears.
