Dickies for Hideout : AW|2010
This post is nothing new, if anything it’s around 2 months late but to me it’s been a moment of clarity as I’ve just bought into the whole thing.
Dickies for many has been recognised as a true US workwear brand..Christ, it’s even available in the hardware shop at the end of my road. Though many American labels have become heavily branded and diversified in different directions, Dickies have remained simple and somewhat neutral.
Michael Kopelman and Andrew Bunney a.k.a Gimme 5 have recently embarked on a special design project for Dickies, creating a new capsule collection, whilst staying true to their ethos but giving it a definitive modern European edge. They took the opportunity to visit the Dickies showroom in L.A and quickly realised that though they liked the feel of the items, they would need to make some minor adjustments to give them a sleeker silhouette to appeal to us lot over on this side of the Atlantic.
Having recently acquired one of their Oxford shirts it’s clear to see that though at only £65, the qualities certainly not been sacrificed. Triple stitched, minimal branding and a cut that’s not a million miles away from what Gitman are producing, it’s not a range to be overlooked.
Available at The Hideout and various stores worldwide.

I was so disappointed with the sweatshirt. Sounded and looked great ‘we’ve slimme it down to lose the wide and short workear look’. I’ll be buggered if it wasn’t the widest and shortest sweatshirt I ever tried on.
I have the sweatshirt too. Yes it is short but not real too short to me. But it is definetly not wide. I have a large and I usually wear medium but is still not wide. It is by no way the best sweatshirt cut in the world but I think it is pretty nice. The fabric is really superb to my opinion.
