Brooklyn Circus

While perenially (though inadvertently) finding more ways to waste time and procrastinate online in the dubious name of research, the odd gem comes to the fore. One such diamond is the Brooklyn Circus website, which stems from a store opened in 2006 (guess where), and now sees outposts in Chicago, and San Francisco alongside growing global recognition.

As the one most inclined to prep here, and a fan of updated Great Gatsby meets Carlton Banks stylings, their lookbook, store, editorial, articles and pics are a positive treasure trove. A consistent aesthetic combining immaculate but effortless attention to detail, a love of heritage and vision of the future, it’s a window into an effortless cool.

I’m reminded a little of the apparently defunct Benjamin Bixby line of a few years back, and a twist of classic prep style which, inevitably, has seen a recent revival. However, the Brooklyn Circus has a unique vision, allied to a wit and intellect which will make you head back for more. Meanwhile, if pics of their recent Big Apple Tweed Ride don’t make you fancy that much well dressed fun next year I’m at a loss…
