Video : Gordon Brennan|Between

This short film was recently shown at the Solar Pavilion as part of the 2011 Edinburgh Art Festival. “Between” by Gordon Brennan centers around still images of painted walls where two colours or textures meet creating visuals that could be quite easily mistaken for flags and illustrate the divided territories we all occupy.

This project is in collaboration with Andy Brown (a freelance videographer and editor living in Glasgow) and Benjamin Oluonye AKA BUG (a producer/musician/DJ living in London).

The Solar Pavilion is the centre piece of the Edinburgh Art Festival 2011. Situated within the St Andrew’s Square Gardens beneath the imposing Melville Monument, the elegant pavilion designed by Scottish artist Karen Forbes was opened to the public in early August. This specially commissioned pavilion creates a beautiful focal point and centre to the Art Festival this year, as a dynamic space to showcase the latest of Scottish and international creativity and innovation.
